Top Hawaii Activities

If you’ve read our detailed Perfect Itineraries, you know that the beach is just one of about a million activities to enjoy in Hawaii. Most visitors to the Islands today are eager to try something new and exciting, whether it’s horseback riding, a sunset dinner cruise, a helicopter flight over active volcanoes or an exploration of Pearl Harbor’s historic sites. Check out our “Things To do and Places To Go” by Island.  Oahu, Maui, Hawaii and Kauai.

Here are just a few favorites:

No visit to Hawaii should be without a visit to Pearl Harbor, for an education on the tragic attacks of December 7, 1941 and a history of the Pearl Harbor displays, museums, and the USS Arizona Memorial. From the interesting museums of the Visitor’s Center to the Memorial built over the remains of the ship, the feelings and emotions of the events are just as present as they were the day of the tragic attack.
Located at Port Allen Harbor in Eleele. Glide along the magnificent Na Pali Coast aboard one of the spacious motor-sailing catamarans: the brand-new 65-foot Blue Dophin II or the 63-foot Blue Dolphin. Enjoy fresh cinnamon rolls with a continental breakfast and a full deli lunch on the popular morning Na Pali snorkel/scuba tour, or a full dinner buffet (luau menu) on the “Na Pali Sunset” sightseeing dinner tour. For the more adventurous, try the “Forbidden Island” tour or the “Wet & Wild Raft Adventure.” Office hours are 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily.
Old Lahaina Luau: Recognized as one of the best luaus in Hawaii, Old Lahaina Luau is a visitor favorite. The luau is an event that impresses from start to finish. Old Lahaina serves 440 guests seven nights a week, with an Island menu that includes all the classics: kalua pork, laulau, mahi mahi, local-style fried rice and much more. The evening begins with crafts and demonstrations, followed by a traditional feast and an award-winning production of music and hula.

As a whole, the Hawaiian Islands are known for their lush beauty, idyllic beaches and laid-back attitude
