A 120-year-old institution housing the largest collection of Hawaiian and Pacific artifacts in the world, Bishop Museum is a must-visit. The highlight is Hawaiian Hall, recently restored to Victorian-era glory and presenting all aspects of Hawaiian culture. Other anthropological gems include Polynesian Hall, featuring the Kahili Room, new Picture Gallery and displays focusing on Polynesian, Melanesian and Micronesian cultures. The Science Adventure Center offers eye-catching, kid-friendly experiences. The museum also has a planetarium and natural history artifacts, plus hosts rotating exhibits.
